I'm considering whether I should try going to Cambridge for summer school this year. it's from 5-31 July which is one week less than summer school in Beijing (not that it matters), and the pound is pretty low now (2.1SGD to 1pound!). Still, it's still expensive since the cheapest accommodation with tuition fee is 2065 pounds and the most expensive one is 3090 pounds. And I haven't factored in the air tickets and the fun bit ie travelling around and stuffing my face with food. Hmm... I'll continue thinking about this. I'll also have to check with Beida if I can transfer credits over too.
Anyway I called home just now to discuss this with my parents, and also because my bro told me on Facebook that my father banged someone's car O_O Apparently the Merc in front braked suddenly and our car bumped into it, spoiling the plastic at the front and the sensor. And the accident also caused my bro's spectacles to become bent because he didn't fasten his seat belt and used his elbow to prevent his head from knocking into the car seat in front when the bang happened. Lols. So the only 'casualty' at home is his specs. Glad for that =)
Speaking of specs, I got new specs! Actually I got it on the very day of arriving back in Beijing, because when I was sleeping on the flight back to Beijing, I sat on my specs, resulting in one lens coming out. I couldn't find it afterwards despite searching ALL around my seat, and despite having my friend who was sitting next to me and 2 air stewardess help (because I was half-blind). In my defence, the lens was loose to begin with. I wanted to change the screw but the specs shop didn't have that type so I only got it tightened. See what happened! Er yar, so I spent the day half-blind until I wore my contacts at night. Here ends the story of my new specs.
My old specs were really... old. I think I had them since late primary school or early Sec school. No kidding man. And it seemed like my myopia degree has decreased when I was having the eye-check =) I guess contacts do sort of work.
Ok, time to finish up with 先汉 work. Does anyone still visit this place?
